Pastel Pottery: Matcha Edition (Cafe Pastel x Parkdale Pottery) (Nov 30th)

Join us for a relaxing hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own handmade matcha mixing bowl and whisk holder, perfect for your daily ritual or as a thoughtful gift.

We’ll begin with a matcha flight tasting led by the wonderful team from Café Pastel, where you’ll sample a variety of matcha blends while learning about their unique flavours and textures.

Then, guided by our instructors, you’ll use core handbuilding techniques like pinching and molding to form your matcha bowl. Next, you’ll use a press mold to shape your whisk holder, refining both pieces with various tools to achieve your desired finish.

To complete your pieces, you’ll select from our studio glaze palette. We’ll take care of the glazing and firing, and your finished set will be ready for pickup in about 3 weeks.

No experience necessary, just curiosity, and a love of matcha.
